Leveraging TAD
The Tribal Affairs Division (TAD) within OVW is responsible for the administration of tribal specific grant programs and initiatives, management of tribal specific training and technical assistance, and coordination with other federal departments and DOJ offices on sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sex trafficking, and stalking in tribal communities. TAD's grantee community includes Indian Tribal Governments, Tribal Courts, Tribal Prosecutors Offices, Tribal Law Enforcement Departments, Tribal Behavorial Health Programs, Tribal Community-Based Victim Services Programs, Culturally-based Batterer's Intervention Programs, SANE/SART programs, and Tribal Organizations and Non-profits among others all working on a broad range of activities to ensure victims find safety and justice and offenders are held accountable.TAD administers the following grant programs:
- Tribal Governments Program
- Tribal Jurisdiction Program
- Tribal Coalitions Program
- Tribal Sexual Assault Services Program (TSASP)
